It's been over a year since my last anything on this site. A combination of a few things have led to this. I suppose the most vital thing to being able to post any comments, journals, deviations etc would be an internet connection. something i have pretty much been without since near enough this time last year.
To be honest a bit of apathy, maybe not apathy but certainly lack of interest crept in, in relation to the site. I just couldn't have been bothered posting anything. I was rarely out taking photo's and i suppose i was just too busy doing other things.
Anyway, enough of all those negative things. Since my last posting my girlfriend Claire, who i met in New Zealand, moved over from England around the end of January. We rented an apartment in town from early February until the end of June. I in the meantime began an apprenticeship to become an electrician which i am still doing and will be doing for another four years but i love it. The first job i've ever had that i actually enjoy, which is pretty sweet.
To mark myself and Claire's anniversary we went over to Goteborg in Sweden for a few days which was really great and a city we'll definatley visit again so i'll prob put up a few photo's from there. We then bought our first house at the end of july so we've both been really busy tearing all the stuff off the walls from the previous owners and painting it the way we want it and decorating it with all our stuff and i have to say, after renting various houses and apartments over the years, it really is a great feeling.
I've had a couple of checkup's for the operation i had at the beginning of 2005 and they have all been clear. So that's great. My surgeon, the great Mr. David Hickey, got a tumour in the lymph ducts around his eye and had to go through a torturous regime of chemotherapy and i'm delighted to say that he is back working now, albeit in a much lesser capacity than before. I'd like to wish him the very best of good health.
